The Essentials 4th Curriculum on CD-ROM was developed to provide fire service instructors with all of the resources needed to teach Firefighter I and Firefighter II to NFPA 1001, 2002 using Essentials of Fire Fighting, 4th ed., as the primary text.
First published in 1998 and based on the NFPA 1001, 1997 standards, these instructional materials have been updated to the NFPA 1001, 2002 standard, reformatted in Microsoft Word® and PowerPoint® and placed on CD-ROM so that you may easily modify, customize, localize, personalize, and supplement as necessary to conform to your own teaching preferences and to local protocol and SOPs.
It's easy! All you'll need to run the Essentials 4th Curriculum on CD-ROM is a computer equipped with Microsoft Word® and PowerPoint® software. Once that requirement is met, simply insert the Curriculum CD-ROM into the PC, and the Main Menu choices appear automatically. There is no installation or set-up! Operate directly off the CD if you do not wish to customize the material, or copy the CD to your hard drive or a disc for customization or dissemination. Files are written in Microsoft Office standard format so that they are very easily customizable.
